Tested using 5 watts VHF 5 watts at half way sensitivity 1 feet away. Meter shows half of deflection. No battery is required, see attached pictures, maybe good for testing nearby transmitters.

Simple Field Strengh Meter to adjust transmitters or check its proper operation. Comes with an antenna that can be plugged in the top SMA connector. Works fine at least until 100 MHz I tested it. It came alone in a plastic bag without protection of any kind; fortunately it was not damaged during transport

This instrument is works properly. Stock antenna is resonate in 490 MHz. Inside the PCB is almost empty. Only contains two germanium diode, one SMD resistor, and one 47 uF capacitor. This capacitor is unnecessarily large. The indicator deviates slowly. This can be speeded up a bit if you replace the capacitor with 100 nF. The Deprez instrument is to slow and can't come back exactly to zero point. On the top is SMA female(!) connector!
